ABS-CBN Corporation is a leading Filipino media company headquartered in Quezon City, Metro Manila.

It is the largest entertainment television and film production company, program syndication provider, and media conglomerate in the Philippines.

Formed by the merger of Alto Broadcasting System (ABS) and Chronicle Broadcasting Network (CBN), ABS-CBN has become a household name in the country.

The company is a subsidiary of Lopez Holdings Corporation, owned by the López family.

Historically, it was known as ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation during two distinct periods: from February 1, 1967 to September 23, 1972, and again from September 14, 1986 to August 2007.

Colloquially referred to as “Ignacia”, the name comes from the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center’s location on Mother Ignacia Street in Quezon City, which serves as the central hub of the company’s operations.
